Decorator Frosting
"A frosting that's perfect for sugar cookies." Original recipe yield: 2 cups.
INGREDIENTS:
2/3 cup butter, softened
4 cups confectioners' sugar
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
4 drops red food coloring
DIRECTIONS:
In a medium bowl, cream together the butter, confectioners' sugar, and milk until light and fluffy, about 3 to 4 minutes. Beat in the vanilla and food coloring. Spread on or between cookies.
