Parmesan Dill Rolls - Breads, Doughs
Parmesan Dill Rolls

"The best rolls ever! This is a slight variation on an old batter dough recipe."  Original recipe yield: 10 rolls.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2/3 cup self-rising flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dried dill weed
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

    DIRECTIONS:
  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C). Lightly grease a baking sheet.
  • In a small saucepan, heat butter, milk, water and salt over medium-high heat. When butter has melted, pour mixture into a large bowl.
  • Add flour and stir well. Mix in eggs, dill and Parmesan cheese. Stir until a loose batter is formed. Drop large spoonfuls of batter onto prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake in preheated oven until golden, about 18 to 20 minutes.
