Sour Cream Spritz
"This one is a soft spice spritz cookie that has been a holiday tradition for over 20 years!" Original recipe yield: 8 dozen.
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup white sugar
1 egg yolk
1/3 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
Cream together butter and sugar. Beat in egg yolk, sour cream and vanilla. In a separate bowl, mix flour, cinnamon, salt and baking soda. Stir flour mixture into butter mixture. Place dough into a cookie press and press cookies onto ungreased baking sheets.
Bake in preheated oven 10 to 12 minutes, until golden. Cool 5 minutes on sheet before moving to wire rack to cool completely.
