Buttered Biscuits
"These biscuits are very easy to make and are very good." Original recipe yield: 1 dozen.
INGREDIENTS:
2 cups self-rising flour
1/2 cup margarine
2/3 cup buttermilk
DIRECTIONS:
Cut butter into flour. Add buttermilk and stir.
Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls on a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 450 degrees F (230 degrees C) for 10 minutes.

i have also been SearchinG and searching for a Roll/biscuit BATTER that can be refrigerated up to 2 weeks. In the 70's the recipe was on Self-Rising Flour pkgs. (pilsbury, goldmedal, but not sure now)
Self-rising flour and possibly beer was in batter also OR buttermilk..... can you help, please? The batter is spooned into muffin tins and come out sooooooooo Light/fluffy Delicious. appreciate any help you might give. |
